Volkswagen Golf Cabrio making a comeback in 2010

Volkswagen announced that the cabriolet version of the successful Golf will make a comeback in 2010, but it won't be built by Karmann. The first version remained in production for 14 years without major changes, and the second-generation cabrio Golf was discontinued in 2002 and never replaced. The open-air Golf will be derived from the three-door hatch, so it'll get a stubby rear end, relatively small boot and packaging very close to the current A3 cabrio's. Renntech unveils Bentley customization programme

Renntech, the tuning company specialised in Mercedes vehicles showed that it can customize also other cars, not only the ones produced by the German manufactuer. With the unveiling of the new 600+ hp ECU tuning package Renntech added on its list of customized vehicles the British manufacturer Bentley. With the new ECU package the engine of the car is boosted from 552 to 625 hp. The tunner also added a lowering module for the Bentley which allows the owners to lower it up to 50 mm. The (...)

All of you know the Mercedes G-Class! Brabus knows it too, very well, but it never stops unveiling upgraded versions of the off-road vehicle. The latest version is powered by the 5.5 liter V8 engine capable of delivering 550 hp and 780 Nm of torque. With this amount of power the car can sprint from 0-100 km/h in less than 5 seconds while the top speed is limited to 250 km/h. G-Power, the well-known tuning company specialised in Bmw vehicles unveiled its latest masterpiece: the G-Power M6 Hurricane based on the Bmw M6 Convertible. The vehicle enters in the exclusive list of one of the most powerful convertibles in the world. Powered by a 635 hp V10 engine, the car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 11.9 seconds and from 0-300 km/h in 34.5 seconds from standstill. 2010 Camaro engine spy shots

Camaro5 caught in their latest spy shots the engine of the future Camaro. The spy shots suggest that the Camaro will be powered by a LLT engine (the direct-injection 3.6L V6). The same engine is used on the 2008 Cadillac CTS and produces 304-hp. Probable the top versions will be powered by the Pontiac G8 GT's 6.0L V8 producing 361hp or the G8 GXP's 6.2 liter V8 engine producing 402hp as well. Stay tuned, it will be all cleared pretty soon! Toyota building $192 Million Green Car Battery Plant

Toyota says it is teaming up with Matsushita to build a $192 million plant in Japan that will build batteries for hybrid cars. The plant will produce nickel-metal hydride batteries, now in the Prius. Meanwhile, a press report in Japan reports that Toyota is building another plant to make lithium-ion batteries.

Renault Laguna Coupe to be revealed tomorrow

Renault launched a mini web site for the future Laguna Coupe that announced that the car will be launched in 26 hours (Saturday 24th may, at 7:00 PM, GMT+1 ). The Laguna Coupe will make its official public debut in autumn at the Paris Motor Show. The Laguna Coupe was first launched as a concept car last year at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Donkervoort D8 GT enters production

Donkervoort, the Dutch manufacturer, announced that their latest project, the D8 GT goes into production. The D8 GT was unveiled as a prototype last year at the Geneva Motor Show. The front fascia has been thoroughly overhauled, now with integrated headlamps and larger air intakes, which favors the aerodynamics of the car.
